Answers to some frequently asked questions:

2024-2025 tuition is $550/credit hour and fees are $42/credit hour.

Yes! CTC offers scholarships to cover tuition for up to 50% of your CTC-specific courses (30 credits). Additionally, we offer stipends of up to $7500 during Clinical Pastoral Education field experience.
Outside of CTC assistance, most students are eligible for scholarships from the Graduate School of Ministry, other outside scholarships, as well as financial aid.

Yes! CTC degrees and certificates can be pursued entirely online in synchronous courses or through a combination of online synchronous and in-person courses (MDiv only).

There is no change to the initial application process, but there will be additional steps for you to complete if you are planning to study under a student visa. We will connect you with the International Student Services office to facilitate and answer any questions you may have.

If you are hoping to pursue chaplaincy in many fields (hospital, hospice, military, etc.) you will likely need to seek ordination or endorsement from a faith body. If your denomination has certain requirements, we’re happy to work with you. If you are looking for a tradition or body that can ordain/endorse you, we’re glad to connect you with one!

Yes! If you have no theology or biblical studies background, we encourage you to consider our MDiv degree. You will be placed on the Foundations track to accelerate you into the rest of the curriculum, but there will be no additional hours. If you want to pursue the MA without any biblical studies or theology courses from previous studies, you will have to complete one semester (12 credits) before you can begin the degree.
